Lo Drap Pintat is a Valencian company that provides customized and promotional products and also graphic design and printing works. The T-shirts are our speciality, and thanks to our friends our t-shirts can be found not only in Comunitat Valenciana, Madrid, Seville or Barcelona, but also in London or Stockholm. Our previous experience in our former company, Samarretak.com, and our new staff enable us to offer a wide range of products with the quality mark "made in Valencia".
The word 'samarretak' has a curious history. When we set about designing t-shirts (it was 2005), after a few rum Barceló with coke and ice, we spent the whole night brainstorming about the magic formula to work and have fun at the same time. And finally, the word came: SAMARRETAK!
What does Samarretak mean? This word is the plural in Basque of the informal Valencian word that mean 't-shirt', 'zamarreta' or 'zamarra'. This Valencian word comes directly from the Basque Country, and means the same in both languages (really!). So this is what we mean: T-SHIRT, no matter the language, a poetical licence of the authors and without the permission of the Academy of the Basque Language Academy, or the Valencian Language Academy, or the Spanish Royal Academy. A word as any other that defines the product that we want to do, but with a slight touch of spontaneity. Samarretak.com now is our meeting point and the original brand of our products.
Lo Drap Pintat is the evolution of Samarretak: highly specialized new staff and new working areas required the creation of a new trademark. This is the reason of LO DRAP PINTAT, a trademark that shows our roots and that we hope will be attractive enough for our friends and clients, and also for those who still are not!.
The persons behind the company are two: Miquel is the creative brain and the official cook (taste his 'arrós del senyoret'), and developes the drawing, custom and design area -this web, for instance. And Maite is the one who has sense and carries out the accountancy.
